Webinar Details
Geoscience interpretation is grounded in physical laws discovered by the scientific community over multiple centuries. Machine learning is a data-driven solution that provides an augmented or different approach to interpretation workflows. Machine Learning has evolved to be a significant component in many of our routine activities and functions. However, the application of machine learning for geoscience interpretation is evolving and has not reached its full potential.
Five significant trends in machine learning related to geoscience interpretation include:
- Synthetic models
- Automation
- Combining machine learning approaches
- Computer power
- Acceptance
The future of geoscience interpretation will include various machine learning approaches, and understanding its impact is critical. Therefore, to incorporate more machine learning approaches in our geoscience interpretation workflows, machine learning processes must be proven to produce better results and perform interpretation workflows faster. In this webinar, Mr. Roden will address how advancements in these five trends are enabling interpreters to apply machine learning to obtain a deeper understanding of earth processes.
