How AI-Generated Fault Detection in a Week Works
Using deep learning AI, Geophysical Insights applies the Paradise AI workbench to generate a high-quality, consistent fault probability seismic volume. Give Geophysical Insights your seismic amplitude volume along with well locations and paths, and we generate and return fault identification, probability, and fault orientation volumes in standard seismic format (SEGY) that your team can immediately utilize in an interpretation system. In addition, we will extract a trace for each well from the volume to enable you to see if a well will encounter a fault along the planned well path. Once the data are loaded in Paradise, the fault and related volumes are generated in five business days – guaranteed!
Even if you already have human-interpreted faults identified, this service gives you a more detailed, AI-generated “second opinion” on the faults that benefits your:
- Operations geologists & geophysicists
- Directional drillers
- Reservoir engineers
- Reservoir managers
Fault attributes (Dip, Azimuth, Probability and Class) extracted from seismic data along proposed well path, displayed in Measured Depth.
Seismic Amplitude data (grayscale) co-rendered with AI Fault classification results (red). A proposed horizontal well is shown along with a seismic horizon co-rendered with fault classification extracted from the AI classification volume.
What is Required for AI-Fault Detection in a Week?
Your unique data is processed by Geophysical Insights using the Paradise AI workbench to produce a fault probability seismic volume of the highest caliber and consistency. To do this our team will need the following:
- Time or depth amplitude volume in SEGY standard format
- Coordinate reference system (CRS) and trace headers defined
- Proposed well locations with ASCII formatted deviation surveys
- If seismic data are in time – time/depth relationships for each well in Excel or OWX format
What Do I Get from the AI-Generated Fault Detection Service?
You will receive a fault probability seismic volume of the highest caliber and consistency that includes:
- SEGY seismic volumes of fault probability, fault dip magnitude, fault dip azimuth and fault classification
- Well logs exported in LAS format of one trace per well of each of the aforementioned seismic
attributes - PowerPoint displays of well templates with extracted seismic traces in Measured Depth
- Online briefing of results shown in the Paradise AI workbench
How Much Does the AI-Generated Fault Detection Cost and How Do I Get Started?
The processing fee is based on seismic volume size and the number of proposed wells. Contact a Geophysical Insights representative by clicking the button below or email [email protected] for additional information.
