Dr. Jie Qi and Dr. Carrie Laudon Join Our Friends at SEG to Discuss the Future of AI for Subsurface Characterization
Our industry has made great strides in adopting new technology and processes to transform the way we approach subsurface characterization. This SEG workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will cover expert insights from successful applications of new technologies and how our approach to exploration, development, and production will be impacted going forward.
Geophysical Insights’ own Dr. Jie Qi and Dr. Carrie Laudon will be presenting on Day 2 of the workshop.
- Dr. Jie Qi will present virtually during Session 4: Seismic and Well Interpretation II. He will cover an integrated machine learning-based fault classification workflow that creates fault component classification volumes that greatly reduces the burden on the human interpreter.
- Dr. Carrie Laudon will present virtually during Session 5: Applications. She will present the results of a multi-attribute, machine learning study over a pre-salt carbonate field in the Santos Basin in offshore Brazil.
