Paradise® Lunch & Learn
There are dramatic structural changes occurring in the oil & gas industry that promise to transform the country’s energy sector. Included in these changes are a focus on better tools for exploration, such as the use of machine learning as applied to multi-attribute seismic analysis. Paradise Lunch & Learns focus on case studies by geoscience experts and demonstrations of the multi-attribute analysis technology.
May 2017 Lunch n' Learn
You and colleagues are cordially invited to the next Paradise® Customer Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, May 31st. We are pleased to announce another outstanding speaker for this Lunch & Learn:
Dustin Dewett, Associate Geophysicist, BHP Billiton Petroleum
Dustin will be speaking on the relationships between inversion and multi-attribute classification, a topic of broad interest to the industry.
The meeting is open to those interested in learning more about machine learning and its applications to interpretation. Details of the Lunch & Learn and a link to register are provided below.
Dustin Dewett - Associate Geophysicist | BHP Billition
Dustin T. Dewett received his M.S. in geophysics from the University of Oklahoma in 2013, studying the seismic character of Middle-Eastern carbonates near hydrocarbon reservoirs. After joining BHP Billiton in 2013, Dustin became involved in quantitative seismic interpretation in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Dustin is a veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in geophysics from the University of Oklahoma. His research interests include the application of multi-attribute analysis to both structural and stratigraphic features and leveraging seismic attributes to increase the efficiency of the seismic interpreter.
